Home & School Run Chaperones (Pick-Up/Drop-Off)

The Future Stars Academy (FSA) is seeking confident, responsible, and committed individuals to volunteer as Home & School Run Chaperones for young people attending FSA Breakfast clubs and afterschool programs. 

If you have a passion for working with children and young people, improving their skills, increasing their confidence, and promoting health & well-being, this is an opportunity for you. As a Home & School Run Chaperone, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe transportation of young people to and from their homes, schools, and FSA programs.

Responsibilities:

1. Morning Pick-up:

  • Pick up young people from their homes in the morning to attend a breakfast club.
  • Ensure the safe and timely arrival of young people to the breakfast club.

2. Afternoon Drop-off:

  • Safely transfer young people from their schools to their assigned programs in the afternoon.
  • Ensure the secure delivery of young people to their homes after attending the afternoon session.

3. Communication and Engagement:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and engagement skills, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
  • Act as an inspiring mentor for young people while collaborating as an enthusiastic team player.

Work Pattern:

  • Academic Term:
    • Monday to Friday: 8 am - 9 am and 3 pm - 4.30 pm.
    • Saturday: 9 am - 10 am.
  • Summer/Easter/Half-Term:
    • Monday to Friday: 9 am - 10 am and 4 pm - 5 pm.

Commitment:

  • Show commitment to an agreed-upon time period, attending the duration of designated projects unless in extenuating circumstances.
  • Uphold the FSA ethos of building a strong foundation among young people, the community, and teams through reliability and consistency.

Minimum Time Commitment Required:

  • 1 day per week.
  • 3 months.

Becoming an FSA Home & School Run Chaperone: Being a Home & School Run Chaperone is a rewarding experience for both yourself and the young people you will support. You will contribute to creating a safe and secure environment while assisting young individuals in achieving their learning goals.
