The Future Stars Academy (FSA) is seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join us as Assistant Youth Support Volunteers. If you have a passion for supporting young people in improving their communities, academic achievement, and overall well-being, this is an opportunity for you. As an Assistant Youth Support Volunteer, you will not only contribute to the development of young minds but also have the chance to earn a qualification in Youth Support Work.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated volunteers who want to gain experience supporting young people.

Responsibilities:

1. Youth Support and Mentorship:

  • Support young people in their academic endeavors, fostering a positive and inspiring learning environment.
  • Act as a mentor to inspire and guide young individuals towards fulfilling their learning goals.

2. Communication and Engagement Skills:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and engagement skills with a focus on building strong connections with children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to create a supportive environment.

3. Work Pattern:

  • During the academic term: Monday to Friday, 4 pm - 8 pm.
  • During Summer/Easter/Half-Term: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 4 pm.

4. Commitment:

  • Show commitment to an agreed-upon time period, attending the duration of designated projects unless in extenuating circumstances.
  • Uphold the FSA ethos of building a strong foundation among young people, communities, and teams through reliability and consistency.

Minimum Time Commitment Required:

  • Visiting Volunteer: 5 days (1 Week)
  • Local Club Volunteer: 6 weeks (1 day per week - minimum)
  • Early Years & Children Volunteer: 10 weeks
  • Youth & Community Volunteer: 6 - 12 months (1 day per week minimum)
  • Project Volunteer: 12 weeks

Becoming an FSA Youth Support Volunteer: Being an Assistant Youth Support Volunteer is a rewarding experience for both yourself and the young people you will support. You will play a vital role in helping them improve their skills, increase their confidence, and promote overall health and well-being.
