The Future Stars Academy (FSA) is seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join us as Community Session Support Volunteers. If you have a passion for supporting the personal and professional development, health, and well-being of young people, adults, families, and seniors in local communities, this is an opportunity for you. As a Community Session Support Volunteer, you will contribute to community improvement while earning a qualification in Community Support Work.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated volunteers who want to gain experience supporting the personal & professional development, health & well-being of young people, adults, families and seniors in their local communities.

Responsibilities:

1. Community Support and Development:

  • Support the personal and professional development of community members, fostering an environment of growth and well-being.
  • Provide basic needs support services for vulnerable adults, families, and seniors.

2. Communication and Engagement Skills:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and engagement skills, connecting effectively with individuals across diverse age groups.
  • Work collaboratively to enhance community skills, confidence, and overall health.

3. Work Pattern:

  • During the academic term: Monday to Friday, 7 am - 11 am and 4 pm - 8 pm.
  • During Summer/Easter/Half-Term: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 4 pm.

4. Commitment:

  • Show commitment to an agreed-upon time period, attending the duration of designated projects unless in extenuating circumstances.
  • Uphold the FSA ethos of building a strong foundation among community members, the community, and teams through reliability and consistency.

Minimum Time Commitment Required:

  • Visiting Volunteer: 5 days (1 Week)
  • Local Club Volunteer: 6 weeks (1 day per week - minimum)
  • Early Years & Children Volunteer: 10 weeks
  • Youth & Community Volunteer: 6 - 12 months (1 day per week minimum)
  • Project Volunteer: 12 weeks

Becoming an FSA Community Support Volunteer: Being a Community Support Volunteer is a rewarding experience for both yourself and the community you will support. You will play a crucial role in enhancing skills, increasing confidence, and promoting the overall health and well-being of community members.
