Job Title: Music Production Tutor

About The Future Star Academy (FSA): The Future Star Academy is on the lookout for passionate and skilled Music Production Tutors who are eager to contribute to the development of our future stars in the music industry. If you are a music producer or beat maker with expertise in music production and a desire to coach and train, we invite you to be part of our dynamic team.

Position Overview: As a Music Production Tutor at FSA, you will be a key player in supporting the training of FSA music students through the delivery of our V-music production program. We are seeking tutors with a background in various musical genres, including Pop, Opera, RnB, Gospel/Soul, Jazz/Nu soul, Indie/Rock, Folk, Hi life/Afrobeat, Dancehall/Reggae.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach FSA students in music production, including the creation of music, soundtracks, film scores, or radio advertising.
  • Deliver training programs in a clear and timely pace, adapting to different capabilities and ages.
  • Stay in touch with current music trends and popular culture.
  • Collaborate with the management team to handle programming, scheduling, and administrative needs.
  • Provide private one-to-one, group, or community sessions, either in person or at FSA teaching studios.
  • Work on assigned training programs or projects with a consistent weekly schedule, either in-person or remotely.

Requirements:

  • Trained or qualified in music production, with experience in a wide variety of music.
  • Familiarity with current music trends and up-to-date with popular music and culture.
  • Teaching experience is favored, but training will be provided to selected candidates.
  • DBS checked due to working with children (paid for by FSA).
  • Ability to teach music production in a clear and timely pace.
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated.
  • Performance experience is desirable.
