Sound Engineering Tutor

The Future Star Academy is seeking skilled and passionate Sound Engineering Tutors who are eager to contribute to the development of our future stars in the music industry. If you are a music producer or beat maker with expertise in sound engineering and a desire to coach and train, we invite you to be part of our dynamic team.

As a Sound Engineering Tutor at FSA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the FSA Music programme through the facilitation of in-house training, local youth projects, and community workshops. We are seeking tutors with a background in sound engineering, studio training, vocal recording, studio mixing and mastering, and live events.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach FSA students in sound engineering techniques for studio recordings, vocal recording, studio mixing and mastering, and live events.
  • Deliver in-house training sessions to support the development of FSA music students.
  • Stay in touch with current trends in sound engineering.
  • Adapt teaching methods for different capabilities and ages.
  • Collaborate with the management team to handle programming, scheduling, and administrative needs.
  • Provide private one-to-one, group, or community sessions, either in person or at FSA teaching studios.
  • Work on assigned training programs or projects with a consistent weekly schedule, either in-person or remotely.

Requirements:

  • Trained or qualified in sound engineering, with experience in a wide variety of music.
  • Familiarity with current trends in sound engineering.
  • Teaching experience is favored, but training will be provided to selected candidates.
  • DBS checked due to working with children (paid for by FSA).
  • Ability to teach sound engineering in a clear and timely pace.
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated.
  • Live sound engineering experience is desirable.

Salary/Payment: Hourly pay dependent on experience, paid weekly.
