About Us: The Future Stars Academy (FSA) is seeking enthusiastic and organized Language or ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) tutors/teachers to contribute to our Academic and Community Outreach program. As a Language/ESOL Teacher, you will be an integral part of our mission to provide language education to a diverse student body, fostering international conversational, writing, and comprehension skills.

Position Overview: As a Language/ESOL Teacher at FSA, you will be responsible for delivering classes for Beginner to Intermediate levels in various languages and English. We are looking for teachers in specific languages and areas, ranging from African languages to European languages, Middle Eastern languages, Asian languages, South Latin American languages, and more. You will contribute to the language development of our students, providing a foundation for communication, cultural understanding, and academic success.

Areas of Expertise:

  1. African Languages
  2. Middle Eastern Languages
  3. Asian Languages
  4. European Languages
  5. South Latin American Languages
  6. English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
  7. British and American Sign Language
  8. Other Sign Languages
  9. Additional Language Teachers for specific components

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver language/ESOL classes for Beginner to Intermediate levels.
  2. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students of various abilities and backgrounds.
  3. Provide language education to support conversational, writing, and comprehension skills.
  4. Commit to at least one morning or evening per week for a minimum of 3-6 months.
  5. Demonstrate helpful, friendly, inclusive, respectful, and patient qualities.
  6. Contribute to safeguarding vulnerable adults; undergo a DBS check for the role.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency and expertise in the specific language or ESOL area.
  • Commitment to teaching a wide range of abilities, backgrounds, and ages.
  • Availability for at least one morning or evening per week for 3-6 months.
  • Teaching experience with beginners and intermediates is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
