Beverage Making Teacher - Juice & Drinks

 The Future Stars Academy (FSA) is seeking a passionate and skilled Beverage Making Instructor to join our culinary and hospitality team. As a Beverage Making Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in providing appliance and cooking technique training to FSA students, members, and clients. Whether through demonstrations at the Centre, in-person classes, online sessions, or on-location events, you will be responsible for teaching the assigned courses within the academy's beverage-making program.

Responsibilities:

Teaching and Curriculum Development:

  • Deliver engaging instruction in Juice, Hot Drinks, Cold Drinks, Smoothies, and Milkshakes, ensuring alignment with the academy's beverage-making program.
  • Incorporate a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse student learning styles.

Student Support:

  • Support student recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Advise program students academically and engage in outreach to potential students.
  • Provide quality and timely access to students, communicating availability through various methods.

Beverage Production:

  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of beverage production within a teaching bar or kitchen.
  • Ensure students gain practical experience and knowledge in beverage making.

Academic Engagement:

  • Participate in non-teaching assignments, including recruitment, instructional development, academic advising, and other departmental activities.
  • Contribute to annual assessment reporting and reaccreditation processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in beverage making, with expertise in Juice, Hot Drinks, Cold Drinks, Smoothies, and Milkshakes.
  • Knowledge of diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in supervising beverage production within a teaching environment.
  • Commitment to participate in non-teaching assignments and contribute to academic and departmental activities.
  • Availability to teach 15-18 credit hours each term.
