Depending on the subject you decide to specialise in you will be required to attend an interview and/or audition at the academy before a decision can be made. Some subjects may require a portfolio containing examples of your work, ideas & inspirations.
Preparing for an Interview
To prepare for an interview we suggest you come prepared to tell us more about yourself, your hopes, your ambitions, your dreams, and hobbies. We also want to know if you have an idea of what you want to be in life and have the determination to see it through. We want to know what challenges you may need to overcome and what obstacles you consider could possibly get in your way or hinder your growth. We want to know how well you know yourself.

Preparing for an audition
Music Audition
To prepare for a music audition please have a song and backing track prepared. It must be an original song in the case of rappers and singer-songwriters, however, it can be a cover of an original song in the case of singers and musicians. You will be given 3 minutes to perform in front of a panel consisting of the Academy Director and 3 special guests. Those applying for DJs are exempt from audition although they must provide a set mix on application.
Dance Audition
To prepare for a dance audition please have music prepared on USB or on a phone playlist. Dancers and Choreographers will be given 3 minutes to perform in front of a panel consisting of the Academy Director and 3 special guests.
Dancers can audition solo but choreographers can also recruit volunteer dancers to showcase an original choreographed piece. If applying please contact us to discuss any needs or difficulties beforehand.
Drama Audition
Actors are required to practice a script or monologue for their audition piece.
Catering & Hospitality
You will be required to bring your own ingredients to prepare a meal of your choice in your audition. You will be given 1 hour to complete the task. The judges will test the final result and give their verdicts on the most promising candidates.

To prepare a portfolio of work for your interview we suggest you gather examples of your work in the form of sketchbooks, illustrations, artwork, designs, samples, mood boards, or Look books.
